Prime Minister Keir Starmer appeared in the House of Commons for PMQs today (April 22) as he has faced the most troublesome week of his premiership so far. The uproar comes after revelations that Peter Mandelson failed vetting to become US ambassador for the UK.
Lord Mandelson, who spent nine months as US ambassador before fresh details of his relationship with Epstein emerged, was a political appointment to the plum diplomatic role, rather than the Washington job going to a career diplomat.
