Sahar is a molecular geneticist by profession, though as a community organiser her has held various leadership positions cultivating the future leaders and unlocking the power of civil society.

By overcoming the victim mentality, she believes that social solidarity and activism can shape the individuals and institutions of tomorrow.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
