UK's 10pm curfew on pubs prompts 'nanny state' backlash | ABC News

Boris Johnson has been accused of running a nanny state after imposing a 10pm "covid curfew" on pubs and restaurants in England. But despite the backlash, there are signs his government's containment measures, which includes a ban on more than six people socialising, may be starting to work. The government also sends out 150,000 home testing kits a month. The "R" rate has come down in the UK but daily cases are still about 7000.
