RailScene: K1 Superpower on the Welsh Highland 18 & 19.9.2021

The famous narrow gauge K1 Beyer Garratt 0-4-0+0-4-0T which was recently overhauled at Statfold returned to its former "home" at Dinas on the welsh Highland Railway's "Superpower" three-day weekend which was also the AGM of the Welsh Highland Railway Society and members had the opportunity to ride behind K1 on a series of reserved trains.
Our coverage sees K1 on one of these trains on the Saturday and also members of the "supporting team" in the form of both the working SAR-SAS Garratts on passenger and goods trains together with Double-Fairlie "David Lloyd George" which suffered an unusual delay at Hafod-y-Llyn on the "Glaslyn Venturer" from Porthmadog to Beddgelert on the Saturday. Also "Lyd" is seen on the Ffestiniog's "Mountain Prince" on Saturday at Minffordd and then at Porthmadog, ready to go to Beddgelert, on the Sunday as "Blanche" leaves with another "Mountain Prince" train. Returning to the WHR we end as K1 comes off shed and then leaves Dinas with ECS returning to the Ffestiniog.
