If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation and wondering whether Port Orleans Riverside is worth it, this tour gives you a close look at what to expect from the newly renovated guest rooms on the “mansion” side of the property, including beds, decor, and overall vibe. This resort is known for its Southern charm and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for families, couples, and Disney adults alike.
Here is an updated breakdown of room types at Riverside in 2026:
* Standard Location (Magnolia Bend mansion buildings)
* Standard Location - 5th Sleeper (Alligator Bayou)
* Preferred Location (buildings 14, 15, 18 or 27, plus parts of mansion buildings 85 and 90)
* King Bed
* Royal Guest Room (mansion building 95)

Also to note: Port Orleans Riverside is scheduled for additional updates through 2027. Once the “mansion” side is completed, there will be a short pause and then they will begin working on the sixteen Alligator bayou lodges after the peak summer season.
