Lincoln Park Zoo Welcomes Rare White-Cheeked Gibbon Baby

Lincoln Park Zoo's Helen C. Brach Primate House has an adorable new addition - a bouncing baby white-cheeked gibbon. Born on August 16, the gibbon is the fourth offspring for father Caruso and mother Burma, and joins older brother, Sai, who will turn three years old in January. White-cheeked gibbons are endangered in their native Southeast Asia due to habitat loss and poaching. It is not yet known if the baby is a boy or a girl, but it is definitely a cutie!
