It's the hottest day of the year in the UK so far - and most people heading outside today will still miss this one crucial step.

The ear is one of the most common sites for skin cancer to develop. We're talking actinic keratoses, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma - and yes, malignant melanoma (although this is rarer). And yet it's almost always the last place people think to apply sunscreen.

The back of your neck. The tops of your feet. Your lips. The places we forget are exactly where skin cancer tends to show up.

I wear SPF 50 every single day - rain, shine, indoors, outdoors. This is why you should too.
