What Is Constitutional Amendment? Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar's Important Speech

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez held a crucial meeting amid the ongoing deliberations over a letter written by six Islamabad High Court judges about external interference in judicial matters.

According to sources, Prime Minister Sharif was accompanied by Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan and Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar during the meeting with the CJP being held in the latter's chamber. The Supreme Court registrar and senior judge, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, also participated in the meeting, which lasted for an hour and 20 minutes.

The PM and the CJP reportedly deliberated on the letter of the six judges of Islamabad High Court. Various options, including setting up a judicial or inquiry commission, were also on the agenda, the sources added.

The prime minister assured the judiciary of all kinds of co-operation, including an investigation into the matter, the sources added.

The meeting comes in the wake of a full court session convened by CJP Isa on Wednesday, specifically to address concerns raised in a letter by six judges of the Islamabad High Court.
