1910s Pyle-National 500 Watt K2 Steam Turbo-Dynamo Full Load Operation

In the summer of 2020 and for the first time in over 10 years my Pyle-National Locomotive 500 Watt K2 Steam Turbo-Dynamo was taken out of storage for a full load run. The load was a a string of 50 Watt 32volt incandescent light bulbs. The steam pressure was held to around 90psi which is below the recommended pressure and as such was a lot of it was used.

A little history of the Pyle-National Company is included. Sanborn fire insurance map snippets show where the company factories were once occupied. Original catalog excerpts show some of the features of the K2 dynamo.
