Bakugou is in the auction so that his family could receive some much needed money. He was placed there under the condition that his family gets at least 25% of the money earned from his auction. Unethical I know, but it's the best I could come up with.

The story is told from Todoroki's perspective. This has been done because I really like Enji's character and don't like seeing him turned into the bad guy in stories. What has happened is that while Todoroki told the story to his children, he would exaggerate bits that included his father. People could do that sometimes, I think.
