Hiking Rice Creek Conservation Area: Nature's Playground Awaits!

Ever since I saw this place on a YouTube video or Facebook video, I have been wanting to go. I had this unique opportunity and it didn’t disappoint. I am a fan of history and learning from the past. This place used to be a rice and indigo plantation. I was having a hard time locating more details than just the comment of it used to be a plantation but maybe some of you can find something more informal. I also was intrigued by the rice creek hilton which is free for backpackers or hikers. What a cool little tree house/cabin it was. I finally came across some cool boardwalks where water was nearby. I did t get to do all the trails or see the 7th oldest or biggest cypress tree in Florida but I had a fun time.
