Bearing races can now be removed and installed precisely in minutes utilizing a shop press and bearing specific adapters. The split ring is expanded on a wedge, increasing the diameter of the split ring, causing the ring to clamp onto the bearing. The shop press is then used to apply force to the assembly, pressing the bearing race out with little effort. A shop press can also be applied to install new races in conjunction with one of the adapter kits.
