1) Arsenal dealt fresh injury blow as 25-year-old star faces month on the sidelines
Arsenal have been dealt a fresh blow with the news that Rob Holding is facing up to a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, according to the Daily Mail.
Holding was in-line to start in defence for Arsenal during their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Saturday evening but the centre-back pulled-up during the pre-match warm-up routine prior to kick-off.
The 25-year-old complained of tightness in his hamstring and had to be replaced by David Luiz in the starting eleven ahead of Arsenal’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium.
Holding underwent a scan on Monday to discover the extent of the hamstring problem and the Daily Mail claims results show the defender is now facing three to four weeks on the treatment table.
It means Holding could be ruled out of Arsenal’s next six games in all competitions starting with Thursday night’s Europa League group stage opener away to Rapid Vienna in Austria…
2) Arsene Wenger shares what he's heard about Ozil in Arsenal training
Arsene Wenger was the man who brought Mesut Ozil to Arsenal back in 2013.
At the time, that was heralded as a breakthrough moment for the Gunners and the Premier League.
It was a genuine world star coming to these shores to play out their best years and Ozil won the World Cup the following year.
But the landscape looks different for the German now, and he finds himself out of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal plans.
Despite that, Wenger clearly retains faith in the playmaker.
He told the Guardian he’s heard Ozil is a good trainer, despite the prolonged periods outside the first team.

Nicklas Bendtner said on talkSPORT (9:24am, October 20, 2020) that he is sad that Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil is not playing at the moment.

Huddersfield Town chairman Phil Hodgkinson says that he tried to sign Emile Smith-Rowe from Arsenal this summer, in his comments to the Examiner Live.
Smith-Rowe joined Huddersfield on loan from Arsenal last season, and he impressed in the second half of the campaign.
The attacking midfielder was a key player for them, with his creativity coming to the fore in the second tier.
Huddersfield wanted to have Smith-Rowe back with them this season, but they were knocked back as Mikel Arteta wanted to keep the youngster around.
