Video text: From the same Taiwanese studio that started the Sword and Fairy series comes this top-down actiony dungeon-crawler game from 1993, Prince of Evil (魔道子) . I don't know much about the game beyond the chinese myth influences. (The game looks pretty standard from the time, reminding me of Alcahest, Ys 5, Link to the Past, etc)

according to some music sites this song was done by Xunlei Xingzhe (迅雷行者), (likely a pseudonym for whatever reason).
But the song itself has some really pretty synth design and melodies, which fit well into its upbeat tempo. I like how the accompaniment in the intro (0:00-00:20) becomes a bit sparser but still present thru the song in other layers. my fav part of course being the pretty synth melody at 00:40 (etc). It has this kinda tragic sentimentality to it while still being a nice little actiony dungeon crawler track
