The video starts approximately 10,000 pc from the centre of the Milky Way galaxy. Travel speed is 2.02 pc/s towards the core.

The red/pink nebula to the right at the beginning of the video is the Carina Nebula, about 2,000pc away. Sol is approximately 2,000pc to the left of the frame out of view.

After 1 hour, the video ends approximately 2,000pc "below" the galactic core, with the globular clusters NGC 6522 and NGC 6528 in the lower centre of the frame.
