Supporting locally driven philanthropy by communities of color

Launched in 2014 by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Catalyzing Community Giving (CCG) initiative supports locally driven philanthropy by communities of color. A cohort of more than 30 creative, committed grantees are working to engage donors, conduct research, and build organizational capacity that helps communities of color become agents of change in communities. In this video, five grantee organizations tell the story about how this work inspires participation in philanthropy among communities of color and ultimately creates more equitable opportunities for children and families.

Grantees featured include Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy; Center for Arab American Philanthropy; Latino Community Foundation of Colorado; New England Blacks in Philanthropy; and Potlatch Fund.
