Giro d'Italia 1998 - part 2 (stages 5-8) - Mario Cipollini, Marco Pantani, Alex Zülle

The 1998 Giro d'Italia was the 81st edition of the Giro d'Italia.
It is known for beeing Marco Pantani' first grand tour win. In 1998 Pantani was on fire and won the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France back to back.

A funny thing about these first stages og the Giro 98, was that many of the big names attacked on stages that were not for them. Normally they would wait for the mountains, but Marco Pantani and Alex Zülle were in the mix from the start.

Sprinters included Mario Cipollini.
