DAY 6 - RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE

Before Drag Race, I never really knew what being a star meant. As a young kid, my parents would ask
me what I wanted to be when I was older and my response was always to "be well known for something I was good at." Coming to LA with 6 boxes of drag and not quite sure what I was getting myself into, I was determined to do my best in the competition. The opportunity introduced me to Hollywood and allowed me to finally recognize my star power while becoming more comfortable with the lights, cameras and action. Being thrown into a room with 12 other passionate artists, competing fiercely for the same crown, was overwhelming at first. But I learned to be on my own, not relying on anybody's help or bothered by outside distraction. Just me, myself and my art. My experience on Drag Race was totally positive and the outcome has been amazing. Going from a local queen to an international artist helped me appreciate what I had accomplished. I was also given a tremendous platform and blessed with amazing supporters who believe in me and make even this #30daysintransition possible. I was also able to gain a best friend, Laganja Estranja that I could travel the world with and share our art together. Changing people's lives every day by giving people hope and strength - if we can, you can too! I can't imagine any other platform that would have helped shape my future and become the person I am today!

DIA 6 - Rupaul's Drag Race
