A Day in LAUSANNE / City Walk / Switzerland

My journey around Lake Geneva started with a train ride from Geneva to Montreux and then I visited Lausanne. I spent my time in Lausanne strolling through the city center and visiting Cathedrale de Lausanne, located at the heart of the Old town. The majestic Cathedral overlooks the city and is a great example of beautiful gothic art monument in Europe. Then I passed through Palud square, a very lively and vibrant area packed with people. In the centre of the square is the town’s oldest fountain, adorned with a statue representing justice. The area around Palud square is completely pedestrianised, and is filled with typical cafes, boutiques and elegant shops. Here you will also find the 17th-century Town Hall, with its typically Vaudois roof, arcades and Renaissance façade decorated with two copper gargoyles in the form of dragons.
