Karachi: Renowned cardiologist Professor Dr. Nadeem Rizvi has rejected claims linking the COVID-19 vaccine to heart disease.
Speaking on Geo News' program "Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath," Dr. Rizvi stated that sudden deaths in young individuals are not always due to blocked arteries—25% of the causes are hereditary. He added that sudden deaths in athletes are also usually due to other reasons.
He explained that if someone suffers a heart attack outside a hospital, only 7% survive. However, if an AED (automated external defibrillator) is used within 3 to 5 minutes, 50% to 70% of lives can be saved.
Dr. Rizvi emphasized that there is no scientific evidence of increased heart disease in young people, nor is there any proven link between these deaths and the COVID-19 vaccine.
