Layered Salad Herring Under a Fur Coat! "S.H.U.B.A".Селедка под шубой "ш.у.б.а"

You will need:

2 hard boiled eggs
2 boiled potatoes(Yukon Gold)
2 boiled carrots
2 small beets
1 large or 2 small fillets of salted herring
mayonnaise
1 small sweet onion
salt and pepper(if needed)

Grate all your boiled vegetables.
Cut herring into small cubes.
Grate hard boiled egg.
Chop onion into fine cubes.

To assemble salad:

On a serving plate or a small bowl put a layer of grated potatoes, then herring, add 1 spoon of mayonnaise , then onions, the hard boiled egg, then mayonnaise, then carrots, then mayonnaise, then beets.

Decorate the top with carrot rose, parsley and mayonnaise.
This salad served chilled and tastes better next day!

Traditionally served in Russia as an appetizer at the New year celebration!
