What I ate on Day 25 of Ramadan #ramadan #fasting #iftar #food #foodie

What shall I have for Iftar
For my pre-dawn meal I had some French toast.

To break my fast, I had some burgers. I added lettuce, pickles, jalapeños, cheese ketchup and mayonnaise and it was delicious. I had pasta and chaat too.

Later I had chocolate and peppermint tea. I was soo full by the end of the day. I weighed myself pre-iftari and post and seems like I added on 2kgs just from the food!

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, which means that they abstain from food and drink during the daylight hours. However, they typically have two meals each day: suhoor, which is eaten before dawn, and iftar, which is eaten after sunset.

Suhoor is an important meal because it provides energy and sustenance for the day ahead. It usually includes nutrient-rich foods such as fruits, whole grains, and protein-rich foods like eggs, yogurt, or meat. Many Muslims also drink plenty of water during suhoor to ensure they are hydrated throughout the day.

Iftar is a time for breaking the fast and is often celebrated with family and friends. It typically includes dates and water, as this is the traditional way to break the fast, followed by a larger meal that includes a variety of dishes. The meal can vary depending on the cultural and regional traditions, but it often includes soups, stews, rice dishes, and meat or vegetable dishes. Desserts and sweet treats are also commonly served during iftar.

Overall, while fasting during Ramadan, it is important to focus on nutritious and wholesome foods that provide energy and hydration for the day ahead
