Study Abroad: Packing for a Year Abroad | Germany Capsule Wardrobe

Hallo meine Lieblinge! I want to take the time to bring light to a situation that has deeply affect those in my community and those close to me. I know this video is several days late, but my beloved city of Houston, the southern coast of Texas, southeast Texas and as well as Louisiana have been or are currently being bombarded by what was Hurricane Harvey. I was lucky to have none of my property destroyed, but I do have many friends and relatives who saw significant damage and/or lost everything the own. This is not the first time Houston has seen historic flooding, but rather the third time. For many this is the third time that they have lost their homes. There are many people who are now homeless, hungry, and with no plan on how they will rebuild. If you can, please take the time to consider donating to JJ Watt’s Houston Flood Relief Fund or the Houston Food Bank, as we will need all the support possible to rebuild our city and support our community. Also consider donating to other organizations looking to support the families in the Corpus Christi and Victoria area that was directly affected by Hurricane Harvey, and possibly Louisiana, once the storm is finished. If you would rather donate supplies, many shelters are in need of new underwear and socks of all sizes and baby formula and diapers. If you would rather donate your time, Houston’s main airports are now open to receive domestic flights, and organizations such as the Houston Food Bank are looking for volunteers and donations.
