Spin up a fully automated Xubuntu XRDP desktop on Google Cloud in minutes. This Quick Start builds a custom Xubuntu + XRDP image using Packer and deploys the complete environment end-to-end with Terraform. The desktop is domain-joined to Samba 4 Mini-Active Directory and backed by Google Filestore (NFS) for persistent home directories — delivering a lightweight, fast, reproducible, cloud-hosted Linux desktop with centralized authentication and shared storage.
