Albanese government using Port of Darwin as excuse to 'cozy up' on China

The Port of Darwin is a major strategic asset and the only significant port in the northern half of Australia but it remains in the hands of China, says Sky News host Caleb Bond.

Mr Bond’s comments come after the Albanese government released a review stating no security concerns had been found at the port.

“A country we know has taken up the fight against us with huge tariffs and trade bans in recent years,” he said.

“The fact we even allowed it to fall into Chinese hands in the first place is bad enough.

“The Albanese government is now using this report as an excuse to cozy up to China.”
