In this video I will be showing you how I replaced the broken screen and damaged frame on my Motorola Moto G 4G mobile phone.

If you're just wanting to replace the screen, and keep
the existing frame, then this video isn't for you (as I skip the bit showing you how to pry the screen off the frame), but to be honest, you're saving almost nothing buying the screen on its own, and it's pretty tricky to separate the screen from the frame, so you might as well buy both together!

If you're worrying about if it's worth buying a new screen for an old phone like this, I would say a MASSIVE YES. Even though I spent at least £20-30 more than I needed to by foolishing buying from a company in the US (I live in the UK and paid a fortune in shipping!), I ended up with a completely restored, as new phone, which is still bang up to date on software and works brilliantly. PLUS YOU FEEL EPIC when you complete the job!! And if you buy wisely you should be able to pick up everything for under £40.

BUY YOUR NEW PARTS WITH CARE!!
The first screen and frame I bought from the US company had clearly been used as a demo, and didn't work properly, but I persevered, and after getting a refund for the defective screen I found a very good replacment - link immediately below.

EAR PIECE SPEAKER
As you'll see in the video, I broke the ear piece speaker, because the video tutorial I watched didn't explain that the speaker can easily come apart (some of these videos make it look easier than it is, because I'm convinced they take the phone apart first, put it back together and then video the final disassembly, with everything by that point easy to remove. So BE CAREFUL REMOVING THE EARPIECE SPEAKER - press it out from the front of the phone once you've softened the adhesive with a heat gun. Do not try and lever it out from the back as it will break!!!
