I Hear Thy Welcome Voice

When we fall in sin and despair grips our trembling hearts, sorrow fills our minds. The hand of the Lord seems heavy upon our shoulders and our bones crush within us. But then, our Lord, the redeemer is so gracious unto us. In our perplexity He speaks sweet peace into our weary souls. In a melodious voice, full of love and care, he calls us again to His fold.
"I hear thy welcome voice" is the response of a prodigal son/daughter, coming back to the fold after wasting time in the pig sty. It is an assurance that God is there, waiting with an open arm, to receive and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.
