Daniel Andrews may be ‘misleading’ Victorians: Jeff Kennett

Former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett has told Sky News Daniel Andrews’ latest lockdown is “very savage”.

“It’s universal throughout the state the damage it is causing is enormous,” Mr Kennett told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

The entire state of Victoria was plunged into a five-day snap lockdown on Friday after just under 20 cases of coronavirus were detected and linked to the Holiday Inn quarantine facility.

“My great worry is when Wednesday comes if he removes the lockdown, and there are two and three cases after that what’s he going to do?” he said.

“Is he going to lock us down again or is he going to publicly admit what he’s done this time has been over-the-top and unnecessary.

“I’m worried that we’re not always getting the truth and that we’re being misled.”
