COMFREY OIL INFUSION - EASY HOW TO COLD INFUSION

This is the method I use for making my COMFREY OIL INFUSION, COLD INFUSION METHOD. NO LIGHT OR HEAT in this method. I believe heat and light take away from the medicinal properties. I cut my Comfrey and let it set for 6-8 hours. This will help evaporate some of the moisture in the plant. Chop the LEAVES, STEMS and FLOWERS. Pack clean jar with Comfrey. Leaving at least a 2 inch head space. Add extra virgin olive oil into the jar. Enough to cover all the Comfrey, allowing an 1 inch space to the top of the jar. Poke down all Comfrey, making sure it is completely submerged. Add more extra virgin olive oil if needed. Put lid on. Label date and name of plant. Store in cool, dark spot for 6-10 weeks. Check the jar for a few days, making sure the oil is over the Comfrey. Add more oil if needed. After 6-10 weeks, strain. Store in clean jar, in a dark cool area. ***Please note that I am a 'backyard gardener' and not an expert in herbal medicine. This is my version of helping myself and sharing with you.*** www.larksperennials.com
