The cat's sense of smell is 40x stronger than ours.

So maybe you can't smell the waste. But your cat sure can!

Cats prefer naturally clumping UNSCENTED cat litter.

Clumping litter is best because it allows you to remove the waste from the box daily.

Unscented is best because cats are extremely sensitive to strong smells. That goes for soaps too!

I use a stainless steel box and ceramic litter scoop because plastic traps bacteria. Even with regular washing.

Additionally, you should be replacing plastic at least once yearly.

So not only does plastic trap smell, but it is also bad for your wallet and the environment in the long run.

You can use my DIY litter genie for easy cleanup.

And a large rug or double-layer litter mat for track litter.

I've scooped hundreds of boxes as a cat sitter.

This is the best litter box cleaning routine out there!

Just remember, the longer you let it sit, the longer it will take to clean.
