Hardie Plank Level First Row and Installation Tips

I'll show you how we installed and leveled the first row of James Hardie plank lap siding. James Hardie installation instructions call for 1 1/4" starter strip, an 1/8" gap between the Hardie plank and the trim, factory cut edges in the field joints and primer on cut plank edges.
