MANIAC: An Early Mainframe Computer at Los Alamos

Check-out this amazing film on the first mainframe computer at Los Alamos. Based largely on a computer at the Princeton Institute for Advanced Studies, the MANIAC's design was influenced significantly by legendary Hungarian mathematician John von Neumann. The computer was primarily constructed to perform calculations in support of hydrogen bomb research at the Laboratory, but it could also play chess!
