E46 BMW Ignition Tumbler Removal

BMW E46 3 Series ignition tumbler removal. The car shown is a 2002 325ci.

Items needed to remove:

Key
Bobby-Pin / Paper Clip

1) Insert key into ignition
2) Turn key to position 1
3) Bend bobby-pin or paper clip to 90 degrees and have 1 length that is roughly 1.5” long
4) Insert bobby-pin/paper clip into hole in ignition tumbler as shown
5) Push bobby-pin/paper clip in until ignition tumbler pops out and is released
