WATCH IN HD! Hey guys! This tutorial is a sugar cookie alternative to the traditional gingerbread house. I used pastel colors for the candies and a tan base shaded with pastels for the base. Learn how to make your own house to give as a gift or to keep for yourself to admire :) I tried to make the steps as easy as possible for you to follow. 🎄DIRECTIONS:
For the base or the cookie house, mix ecru, white, and translucent clay together until you get a light tan dough color. Roll the clay flat to your desired thickness. Cut out a house shape and matching sides, base and roof. You should have two of each and one base. Texture your pieces with sandpaper and a toothbrush. Attach your house together using TLS or a glue gun whichever one is easiest for you. Insert a head pin in the middle of the house and use TLS to secure it in place. Bake for 10 minutes.

🎄CANDIES
For the candy cane, roll translucent, white and pink clay into skinny snakes. Take the colored clay and attach to the larger translucent clay. Roll and twist until you get a desired candy cane design. For the marshmallow candies, use the kemper cutter tool and cut out hearts and leaves. Texture with tooth brush. For the gumdrops, roll out a small ball of mint and pink clay. Gently roll the tip until you have a cylinder shape and then flatten the top. Coat the gumpdrop in TLS and glitter. Set aside. To make the swirl, roll a skinny white snake and curl edges into a roll.

🎄HOUSE ASSEMBLY
Use TLS as a glue and attach candies to the desired locations. Mix the TLS with white chalk to make the frosting. Add frosting to the roof and seams. Take glitter and fake ice and sprinkle onto the roof. Bake for 10 minutes. Attach loop and jump ring with your desired attachment. I used a silk ribbon in this tutorial. You could also use a lobster clasp or a key chain. When complete, the charm measures about 1 inch. You can now use your charm as a Christmas ornament, charm, key chain or a special gift.
