Class V Whitewater Rafting - Lower Gauley River, WV - June 2021 - Rare Flow Rate, 5,000 CFM

This is the Lower Gauley River in West Virginia on June 13th, 2021 after unusually heavy rainfall. The flow rate on this day was over 5,000 cubic feet per minute. To provide a reference, the Gauley River has an exact flow rate of 2,800 cfm during "Gauley Season" in September & October. This provided a rare class V whitewater day on the Lower Gauley in June.
