How Does Erik Larsen Draw?

You may have heard before that Erik Larsen has a funny way of holding his pencil when he draws. While working on some commissions at NYCC 2016, I took three minutes of video as he drew a Spider-Man piece.

Here, then, you can see for yourself how he keeps his wrist bent and appears to pivot on his middle finger. Or something. I'm still not sure how that works.
