2010 Honda Rancher 420 to a 2020 foreman 520 upgrade plus a 53% gear reduction install

This is a short video of a 2020 foreman 520 cylinder install on a 2010 Rancher 420 bottom end. I am told this conversion requires at least a 2009 or newer head for this to work plus a little machining to the case to make the larger cylinder fit. I am pretty sure this is the same process you would follow to put a 520 cylinder into a water cooled 500 case. The motor was a little slow to crank over but the starter was not in the best shape so the owner is going to be replacing the starter. This is using the stock 420 fuel system. I also installed a 53% gear reduction from Reduction Boss Machining.
