They Had Proof He Was Innocent. They Killed Him 4 Days Later.

On December 23, 1991, Cameron Todd Willingham's three daughters — Amber, Karmon, and Kameron — died in a house fire in Corsicana, Texas. Within hours, investigators decided he started it. Twelve years later, Texas executed him for it.

Five independent fire scientists later reviewed the evidence. Every single one reached the same conclusion: the fire was not arson. It was an accident.

The jailhouse informant who said Willingham confessed? He later admitted he made it up in exchange for a deal.

A report proving the science was junk reached the Governor's desk four days before the execution. He ignored it.

Cameron Todd Willingham was executed on February 17, 2004. No one has ever been held accountable.

This is his story.
