Abstract: Electrified powertrains. Automated driving. Immersive in-vehicle experiences: the automotive industry is on the cusp of far-reaching changes. Alexander Hitzinger, CEO of Artemis, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, is leading an effort to develop new technologies for electric, highly automated and self-driving vehicles. ARTEMIS is developing a pioneering approach that is targeting to be on the road in models as early as 2024, as well as serving as an incubator for fast and agile development processes and new business models. He will discuss the challenges and opportunities the industry is facing, the goals of Artemis and the increasing role software will play in future vehicle architectures with Arm’s Chet Babla.
