A simple Mackerel fry is a good way to begin the learning experience :) Bangde, as Mackerels are called in Konkani, have a lovely, strong flavour of their own which is complimented well with just a mix of turmeric, red chilli and vinegar. Fresh banged though are best on their own with some Salt.
