Self drive itinerary

Going to Tanzania? Save our self drive itinerary. ​​​​​​​​​
First of all, it is worth noting that you need to get a vehicle from a reputable self drive car provider. We used @shilashicarhire and the 4x4 was amazing. Knowing how harsh the terrain can be in Tanzania the team made sure to give us the right information on everything there is to know in Tanzania.

So here is the exact itinerary and places we stayed throughout our self drive in Tanzania. All the properties are by @africasafaritanzania.

Day 1 - Arusha | stayed at Africa Safari Arusha.
Day 2 - Lake Natron | camping at Africa Safari Lake Natron.
Day 3 - Lake Natron again.
Day 4 - Drove through Serengeti National Park and then stayed outside Serengeti + camped with Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma.
Day 5 - Drove one more day through Serengeti to enjoy the wildlife. Continued through to Lake Ndutu | stayed at Africa Safari South Serengeti Ndutu. They don't have camp site options here so we stayed in tents.
Day 6 - Game drives in Lake Ndutu.
Day 7 - Drove through Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara. Camped at Africa Safari Lake Manyara.
Day 8 - Explored the local village in Lake Manyara and camped here one more night.
Day 9 - Drove back to Arusha and stayed again at Africa Safari Arusha.
Day 10 - Left Tanzania.
