Walking along Rio Branco Avenue.
Avenida Rio Branco, formerly Avenida Central, is the street that crosses the city center of Rio de Janeiro, being the main mark of the urban reform carried out by Mayor Pereira Passos at the beginning of the 20th century.
It is one of the main public roads in the city, hosting many important events.
In 2016, a 600-meter stretch of the avenue was definitively closed to vehicle traffic, and Boulevard Luiz Severiano Ribeiro was built on the site. The promenade has 35 trees, 1,620 m² in green beds, bike racks, 70 benches and renewed lighting.
