CHEAP FOOD in Costa Rica! 🍛

☀️Fried Chicken - You can find it everywhere, you can get buckets, combos with roasted 'taters and cola, and even just broken-up pieces of chicken battered up and fried with a side of buffalo sauce!
☀️ Typical Breakfast - Go to a real local place for this and you might just get lucky enough to get a handmade tortilla with it. Usually, it comes with Gallo Pinto, some protein (choose SALCHICHON!), fresh cheese, some sour cream and sweet fried plantain, and a tortilla!
☀️ Baked Goods - Sweet or salty, take your pick! Hit up a local bakery (this was @musmani) I like the pastels and the little hot dogs in pastry!
☀️Olla de Carne - A cheap delicious and nutritious beef soup. Enough said.
☀️Ceviche - Simple and packed with flavor and protein! The perfect meal/snack for a hot day
☀️"Cantonese Rice" - Not my favorite, but it is packed with salty goodness and a variety of meat and veg! It's very filling, and often comes with strange combinations - ahem, white sliced bread, french fries?!
☀️Empanadas - the perfect quick eat, pick your filling inside this delicious pocket of goodness! It should keep you full for a little while. Common fillings are shredded beef, chicken, pinto and cheese, chicharrones, and who knows what else!
☀️Casado - The most typical dish, and really quite nutritious, except maybe the excess of carbs in some. This is a plate that comes with rice, beans (no cans here), a protein of choice, a salad, and just maybe some pasta too!
