Timings: Aarti is performed at sunset (6:30-7:00 pm in summer, 5:30-6:00 pm in winter). Mangala Aarti is performed in the morning at sunrise.
Rituals: Priests perform aarti with large fire pots (diyas). Bells, conch shells, and hymns add to the spiritual atmosphere.
Floating Diyas: Devotees float diyas made of flowers and leaves into the river, filling the river water with flickering diyas.
Historical Significance: Started by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in the decade 1910-1916, this tradition is organised by Shri Ganga Sabha.
