Tropical Storm Elsa update: Friday, July 9

Tropical Storm Elsa is continuing to dump rain along the East Coast. Friday, the storm was over the Long Island area, forecast to track northeast over Boston and then up into Canada.

As of the 2 p.m. update, Elsa was post-tropical with winds of 50 mph, moving northeast at 31 mph.
