Charcoal Transfer Technique with Sara

Join Sara, Keswick Wise & Well Center's Artist in Residence, as she shares a simple charcoal transfer technique. Learn how to trace a photograph without using a light source and a few simple art materials that you may already have handy.

Materials you will need:
- A printed photo that you would like to trace
- One piece of Vine Charcoal
- One piece of blank paper (to transfer the traced charcoal drawing onto)
- Two pieces of tape (masking tape preferred but scotch tape will work as well.
- One sharpened pencil
- One plastic or rubber eraser
- A hard surface to work on (such as a table, clip board, or drawing board)

This is a simple process that only takes a few minutes depending on the detail of the image your are trying to transfer.
