Flight tickets ✈️: Not included in the daily budget. A round-trip fare varies based on where you’re booking from. Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata offer direct flights to Vietnam, and if booked in advance, the return can cost around 12-15k INR. I booked my flight just three days before departure and got it for 8k INR one-way. Visa cost is 1900 INR, which I’ve included in the overall budget.

Daily budget 💰: Over my nine days here, my daily average has been around 2.2k INR for the first seven days (excluding the last two days, thanks to a collaboration).

Accommodation 🏨: Even the smallest towns have hostels or homestays available for as low as 300 INR per night. There’s always the option to splurge, but if you’re on a budget, affordable stays are easy to find.

Bike rentals 🏍️: 100k VND (around 330 INR) will get you a scooter or bike rental for the day, perfect for exploring.

Food 🌯: Plenty of local spots serve decent meals for just 100 INR, making it easy to eat well without overspending.

Transport 🚎: Moving from place to place is also budget-friendly, with bus fares around 1000 INR and shared limousine transfers costing about 1500 INR.

With this budget, your accommodation, transportation, and food are well covered. Activities, like the Ha Long Bay cruise, will be extra, but you can opt for day tours instead of an overnight stay on the cruise to keep costs lower.
