PGA Tour player An Byeong-hun is transferring to LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund.
An, who debuted on the PGA Tour in 2017, has played in 229 tournaments through last year. While he hasn't won a single tournament, he has earned a total of $21,535,424 in prize money, including five runner-up finishes.
This year, LIV Golf will feature 14 tournaments, each with a combined purse of $30 million. He is expected to earn more money on LIV Golf this season than he has on the PGA Tour so far.
An Byeong-hun said he felt bored with the PGA Tour and was drawn to the unique, free-spirited atmosphere of LIV Golf, with its music and festive atmosphere.
