Today we’re counting down 10 of the smartest transfers we’ve seen so far this summer! Some of the best business this year was wrapped up ahead of the window, with the arrival of Dayot Upamecano at Bayern Munich and his replacement Mohamed Simakan at RB Leipzig getting our seal of approval.

In the Premier League, Norwich moved swiftly to replace Aston Villa-bound Emiliano Buendia by snapping up Werder Bremen forward Milot Rashica on the cheap, while both Eric Garcia and Fikayo Tomori have left the English top flight for good this summer – both Barcelona and Milan’s defences will be better for it.

We also look at Ajax youngster Lassina Traoré’s move to Shakhtar Donetsk, Gianluigi Donnarumma’s switch to PSG, and Suat Serdar’s move from Schalke to Hertha Berlin!
