How to Make Free Hot 'Coffee' Compost Using a Compost Tumbler: The Carbon:Nitrogen Ratio Explained

Hot composting can turn your organic matter into compost in 4-6 weeks. A compost tumbler makes this process so much easier than your standard pile and bin. The key is insuring your have the right carbon to nitrogen ratio. Coffee (free from Starbucks just ask) is the nitrogen source and leaves and shredded newspaper is the carbon source for the compost.
